3-Day Amazon Itinerary
Day 1: Begin Your Adventure – Discover Sandoval Lake In Rainforest Amazon Trips
Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado, our friendly local team will greet you and escort you to our office to prepare for the trip.
From the Tourist Port (Puerto Capitanía), we board a motorized boat for a scenic 45-minute ride, passing Monkey Island and Sandoval Port.
We’ll trek 3 kilometers through lush jungle trails to a dock, then paddle across a serene lake to reach our eco-lodge.
After a welcome drink and a brief rest, we’ll head out for a guided night walk, searching for creatures like night
monkeys, frogs, snakes, and other fascinating nocturnal life.
Day 2: Wildlife Encounters & Tambopata Exploration
After breakfast, we set off in a paddle canoe to Peque Port, followed by a jungle hike to a checkpoint where a
motorboat awaits. We’ll journey up the river to Tambopata Port, keeping an eye out for tropical birds, turtles, capybaras, caimans, and if lucky, even a jaguar.
At Tambopata Lodge Inn, enjoy a refreshing Amazon drink before venturing into the primary rainforest, teeming
with life. After dinner, we head out on a nocturnal river safari, searching the dark banks for hidden wildlife trips peru.
Day 3: Return via Chuncho Clay Lick – Culture & Community
Enjoy breakfast surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest. On our way back to Puerto Maldonado, we’ll visit several .
