Day 1: Arrival in Puerto Maldonado – Tambopata Reserve

Day 2: Chuncho Clay Lick – Macaws and Amazon Rainforest

Day 1: Arrival in Puerto Maldonado – Adventure in Tambopata National Reserve
Our adventure begins in Puerto Maldonado, the gateway to the Peruvian Amazon.
At 8:30 a.m., our team will welcome you at the airport or bus terminal, and we will then transfer you to our office for registration and tour preparation.
After organizing the necessary luggage for the expedition, we will begin our transfer to the Tambopata River port.
From there, we will board an Amazonian boat and navigate approximately 50 minutes upriver, enjoying the spectacular rainforest scenery and observing the first wildlife species of the journey, including tropical birds, monkeys, and other animals living along the riverbanks.
Upon arrival at the Amazon lodge, you will receive a traditional welcome drink and enjoy lunch surrounded by the beauty of the rainforest Amazon Travel .
In the afternoon, we will take a guided hike through the primary tropical rainforest, where our naturalist guide will share fascinating information about the flora, fauna, and ecosystems of Tambopata National Reserve.
As night falls, we will embark on an exciting nocturnal excursion to observe wildlife species with nighttime habits, including caimans, capybaras, insects, amphibians, and other Amazonian creatures.

Day 2: Chuncho Macaw Clay Lick – Macaw Observation & Amazon Rainforest Exploration
Very early in the morning, around 5:00 a.m., we will begin one of the most anticipated experiences of the trip.
We will board the boat again for an approximately 1 hour and 20-minute navigation along the Tambopata River while enjoying the breathtaking Amazon sunrise.During the journey, we will have the opportunity to observe wildlife and, with some luck, spot iconic species such as monkeys, capybaras, tapirs, and even jaguars along the riverbanks.
Our destination will be the spectacular Chuncho Macaw Clay Lick, where we will witness the incredible gathering of hundreds of macaws and parrots feeding on mineral-rich clay. wildlife trips peru.
While enjoying this extraordinary natural spectacle, we will have breakfast surrounded by one of the most impressive landscapes in the Peruvian Amazon.
After this experience, we will return to the lodge, making a stop at a control point and enjoying a cultural visit along the way.

In the afternoon, we will explore rainforest trails to discover giant trees, Amazonian plants, and a variety of bird and wildlife species.

Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado, we will transfer you to the airport or bus terminal.
