You’ll be comfortably transferred to the tour office, where you’ll receive a full briefing about your adventure.

Then, you’ll head to the river port and board a motorized canoe for a scenic ride along the Madre de Dios River. Get ready to glide deep into the lush Peruvian rainforest.

Arrival and Check-In at the Jungle Lodge Peru Rainforest Tuor

Upon reaching the eco-lodge nestled in the heart of the Amazon, you’ll be welcomed with a fresh tropical juice — a perfect introduction to the region’s fascinating flavors.

After settling into your cozy room, take a moment to relax and soak in the sounds of nature before your first expedition.

Visit to Monkey Island

In the afternoon, you’ll journey to Monkey Island — a natural sanctuary home to several species of playful primates.

Watch squirrel monkeys, white-fronted capuchins, and brown capuchins leap through the treetops and interact in their native habitat.

It’s a unique chance to observe their behaviors up close and enjoy a lively, heartwarming experience in the wild.

Night Safari on the River
As night falls, a new world awakens. Hop back on the boat for a thrilling night safari along the river. With flashlights

in hand, you’ll search the riverbanks for black caimans, night herons, and, if luck is on your side, the elusive capybara  the largest rodent on Earth. After the adventure, return to the lodge for a traditional Amazonian dinner and spend

the night surrounded by the peaceful symphony of the jungle.

Day 2: Amazonia Peru Trip – Sandoval Lake & Night Jungle Exploration

Sunrise in the Jungle & Sandoval Lake Adventure

Wake up to the sounds of the rainforest and start your day with a hearty breakfast at the lodge. Then, gear up for one of the most unforgettable adventures of your Amazon journey. A motorized canoe will take you across the

Madre de Dios River toward the entrance of Sandoval Lake, one of the most breathtaking and biodiverse bodies of water in Tambopata National Reserve.

After the boat ride, you’ll embark on a 3-kilometer trek through lush jungle trails, surrounded by towering trees and vibrant wildlife, until you reach the lake’s edge.

Canoe Ride on Sandoval Lake Peru Rainforest Tuor

Hop into a wooden paddle canoe and glide silently across the mirror-like waters of Sandoval Lake. As you explore, keep your eyes peeled for howler monkeys, capuchins, squirrel monkeys, and cormorants. With a bit of luck, you may

even spot giant river otters or a stealthy black caiman cruising along the shoreline. The lake is a sanctuary for Amazonian wildlife, offering a front-row seat to nature’s wonders.

Traditional Lunch & Night Jungle Walk
After returning to the lodge, savor a typical Amazonian lunch with local flavors. As night falls, prepare for a thrilling

nocturnal walk into the jungle. Guided by flashlight and moonlight, you’ll encounter colorful insects, frogs, snakes,

and nocturnal reptiles. This immersive walk reveals the mysterious side of the rainforest—when its most elusive creatures come to life.

Canopy Walkway & Birdwatching at Sunset

To end the day, climb the Canopy Walkway, a suspension bridge hanging 30 meters above the ground. From this

incredible vantage point, take in panoramic views of the rainforest canopy and the winding Madre de Dios River. It’s

also a perfect moment for birdwatching, as toucans, macaws, and other non-native birds flutter through the treetops bathed in golden light.

Day 3: Macaw Clay Lick Adventure & Return to Puerto Maldonado

Early Morning Wildlife Experience
Your third day in the Amazon begins with an unforgettable visit to the Macaw Clay Lick, a majestic clay cliff deep in the rainforest where vibrant parrots and macaws gather at dawn. Watch as flocks of green, scarlet, and blue-

feathered birds create a living rainbow against the clay wall—a breathtaking natural spectacle and a photographer’s dream.

Local Breakfast & Farewell

After this awe-inspiring encounter with Amazon wildlife, you’ll return to the lodge for a delicious breakfast inspired

by local flavors. Then, it’s time to pack up and head back to Puerto Maldonado, where you’ll be transferred to the

airport or bus station—bringing your Amazon adventure to a close, but leaving you with memories that last a lifetime.
