Day 1: Puerto Maldonado to Tambopata – Arrival & Jungle Introduction

Your Amazon journey begins in Puerto Maldonado, the gateway to Peru’s southern rainforest.

After arrival, travel deep into the jungle with:

• A scenic 2-hour overland transfer
  A 30-minute boat ride along the Tambopata River

As you travel through the rainforest, keep watch for birds, monkeys, and other wildlife along the riverbanks.

Upon arrival at Collpas Tambopata Inn, enjoy a warm welcome drink and a briefing about your Amazon adventure.

Located near the Tambopata National Reserve, this remote eco-lodge combines comfort with authentic jungle surroundings. The area provides excellent opportunities for wildlife observation, with monkeys and tropical birds often appearing near the lodge.
