Day 1: Arrival in Puerto Maldonado and Journey to Lake Sandoval .

Your adventure begins in Puerto Maldonado, where our team welcomes you before you leave the city behind and journey deep into the rainforest.

Travel by motorized boat along the Madre de Dios River, watching for birds, turtles, caimans, and other wildlife along the way.

After entering the Tambopata National Reserve, a scenic 3-kilometer rainforest hike leads you to Lake Sandoval. From there, paddle by traditional canoe through peaceful waterways to your Amazon lodge.

After lunch and time to settle in, explore Lake Sandoval by canoe in search of giant river otters, black caimans,

monkeys, turtles, hoatzins, kingfishers, and other wildlife.

As night falls, the Amazon awakens. Head out on a night canoe excursion and search the dark waters for caimans while listening to the incredible sounds of the rainforest.

Day 2: Suntet, Ancient Rainforest and Lake Sandoval Wildlife .
