The Best Tour Manu 3 days

During this short but fascinating trip, you will delve into one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet. You will explore cloud forests and primary rainforest, where every step is a new opportunity to discover unique wildlife.
You’ll be able to observe:

Day 1: Cusco – Cloud Forest – Paucartambo – Manu National Park

We begin our adventure early in the morning with a hotel pick-up in Cusco at 5:30 a.m., starting an unforgettable journey into the Peruvian high jungle.

Our first stop will be the Chullpas of Ninamarca, impressive pre-Inca funerary towers located at 3,700 meters above sea level, surrounded by breathtaking Andean landscapes.

We then continue to Paucartambo, a picturesque colonial town known for its traditional architecture and historic stone bridge.

From here, we ascend to Acjanaco Pass (4,000 m.a.s.l.), the official entrance to Manu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From this point, we begin a fascinating descent through the Cloud Forest, a unique ecosystem rich with orchids, bromeliads, ferns, and diverse wildlife.

We’ll enjoy a short hike to observe iconic bird species, such as the Andean Cock-of-the-rock (Rupicola peruvianus),
Peru’s national bird, as well as the elusive quetzal and other colorful tropical birds.

In the afternoon, we arrive in Pilcopata, a welcoming Amazonian town where our eco-lodge awaits. Here, you can
refresh with a shower, relax, and enjoy a traditional dinner before resting for the next stage of our expedition.

Day 2: Pilcopata – Atalaya – Machuhuasi Lake – Rainforest Lodge.

After a nutritious breakfast, we travel overland to  Atalaya, a scenic river port on the edge of the Amazon. Here, we board a motorized canoe and begin a 50-minute journey down the majestic Madre de Dios River, surrounded by the lush rainforest.
During the river journey, we may spot a variety of wildlife in their natural habitat, including colorful birds, energetic
monkeys, and, with luck, caimans resting on the riverbanks.

Upon arrival at Paititi Lodge, nestled deep in the jungle, we enjoy a delicious lunch before heading to Machuhuasi
Lake—a tranquil oxbow lake teeming with biodiversity. We’ll explore the lake by rustic raft, an ideal way to observe

wildlife such as kingfishers, herons, macaws, and monkeys moving gracefully through the treetops.
For those seeking a deeper jungle experience, an optional guided night walk is available after dark.

This immersive excursion offers a chance to hear the symphony of nocturnal life—frogs, insects, and birds—and perhaps spot rarely seen creatures under the beam of a flashlight.

Day 3:  Parrot Clay Lick – Return to Cusco

On our final day, we rise early for a 45-minute boat ride to the Parrot Clay Lick, a mineral-rich wall where various
parrot species gather to supplement their diet. This natural spectacle offers a vibrant display of color and sound, with up to four species of green parrots congregating in large flocks—an unforgettable scene and a perfect opportunity
for wildlife photography.

After enjoying this dazzling wildlife show, we return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. Then we board the boat back
to Atalaya and begin our overland journey back to Cusco, once again passing through the enchanting Cloud Forest
with its misty vistas and abundant biodiversity.

We arrive in Cusco in the evening, bringing our expedition to a close—leaving you with incredible memories and stories to share.
