Day 1: Arrival in Puerto Maldonado & Jungle Exploration

Your experience begins with a warm welcome at the airport or bus terminal in Puerto Maldonado, the gateway to the southern Peruvian rainforest.

From there, we will transfer you to our office for a brief orientation, where you will receive key recommendations to make the most of your Amazon adventure.

Next, we head to the port to begin a boat journey along the majestic Madre de Dios River. For approximately one hour, you will navigate through lush vegetation until reaching our ecolodge, where you will be greeted with a refreshing tropical fruit drink.

After settling into your comfortable room and taking a short rest, we will begin an introductory 2-hour walk through the tropical rainforest. Accompanied by a naturalist guide, you will explore trails surrounded by giant trees over 500

years old. In this unique environment, you may observe a wide variety of Amazonian wildlife such as toucans, parrots, oropendolas, monkeys, butterflies, and, with some luck, snakes in their natural habitat.

Upon arrival at the lake, we will board a canoe to explore its calm waters. This ecosystem is home to an impressive variety of wildlife, including:
